Quinnipiac has impressed in the early going this season, armed with a 3-1 record entering the weekend wherein the Bobcats play host to Miami (FL) out of the ACC on Sunday (12 PM). This marks the second time in three seasons the Bobcats have opened a season with a 3-1 mark while the offense has been clicking on all cylinders through four matches in 2017. Quinnipiac has pumped in eight goals through four games and have four players (Gill, Madison Borowiec, Al Pelletier and Kelsey Goldring) tied atop the MAAC leaderboard in scoring with six points each.
Gill enters her junior season already armed with a quite extension career list of accomplishments, headlined by a 2016 NSCAA All-Northeast Second Team and NEWISA All-New England Second Team recognition last season. Also a two-time All-MAAC honoree (2016 First Team, 2015 Second Team & Rookie of the Year), Gill has compiled 46 points (19 goals, eight assists) through 41 games played while nine of her 19 career tallies have gone down as game-winning goals. She already has six points through four games this season including the overtime game-winner at Holy Cross that came in a game in which she struck for five points (two goals, one assist).
The Bobcats return to action on Sunday when they take on Miami (FL) at Noon at the Quinnipiac Soccer Turf Complex. That matchup marks the first time Quinnipiac has ever-faced an ACC program as well as just the fourth time the team is hosting a school from a high-major conference.
