QU Women's Indoor Track & Field Names 21 to MAAC All-Academic Team

Bobcats' 21 All-Academic Honorees Rank as the Third-Most in the MAAC
NEW YORK CITY, New York – A total of 21 members of the Quinnipiac University women's indoor track and field team were named to the 2016-17 MAAC Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office on Sunday, February 19, 2017.
The 27 Bobcats to make the list included: Niamh Ashe (East Islip, N.Y.), Christina Barbaro (Elk Township, N.J.), Kylie Cardoso (Wilbraham, Mass.), Alyson Caron (Andover, N.J.), Cameron Chaplen (Thomaston, Conn.), Darby Ginley (Warwick, N.Y.), Emily Joerg (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), Emma Johnson (Metuchen, N.J.), Jessica Lee (Montgomery, N.J.), Mackenzie Merkel (Hillsdale, N.J.), Medinah Nabadduka (Windsor, Conn.), Marykate O'Meara (Pearl River, N.Y.), Leah Pfrommer (Killingworth, Conn.), Meredith Ramsey (Penacook, N.H.), Cori Reid (Old Saybrook, Conn.), Maria Ricalton (Canton, N.Y.), ( Kaleigh Roberts (Higganum, Conn.), Carly Timpson (Narragansett, R.I.), Katey Veron (Franklin Square, N.Y.), Marlo Wehrer (Pequannock, N.J.) and Emily Wolff (Highlands Ranch, Colo.).
The MAAC released a total of 160 student-athlete that made up the 2016-17 Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must finish at least two semesters at their institution and must hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Marist College led all schools for the second straight season with 31 members named to the team. Behind Marist was Monmouth with 29 while Quinnipiac followed in third with 21. Rounding out the field was Rider (17), Manhattan (17), Canisius (14), Iona (13), Siena (10) and Saint Peter's (7).
The Bobcats wrapped up the 2017 MAAC Championships in fourth place while Lee took home the MAAC's Most Outstanding Track Performer award via her victories in the 60m hurdles and 200m dash.
