HAMDEN, Connecticut – Quinnipiac women's basketball head coach Tricia Fabbri will join the Rob Dibble Show, Connecticut's daily local ESPN Radio affiliate afternoon show, at 5 PM tonight. Fans can tune-in on their ride home at 97.9 on the FM radio dial and 1300 on the AM dial while the stream is available online at 979espn.iheart.com and espnradio1300.iheart.com.
Currently in her 22nd season at Quinnipiac, Fabbri has led the Bobcats to unrivaled success in recent years. The all-time winningest coach in Quinnipiac's women's basketball history, Fabbri also stands as the all-time winningest female coach (370 career wins) in the history of Quinnipiac Athletics. The two-time reigning MAAC Coach of the Year has led the Bobcats to six straight 20-win seasons, currently one of just 15 teams in the nation to boast that statistic.
In 2016-17, Fabbri's squad has accumulated an overall record of 20-6 while currently sitting second in the MAAC standings behind Rider at 13-3. Through 26 games this season, Quinnipiac checks in at No. 46 in the most-recent RPI standings which easily stands as the highest mark in the MAAC (Rider next-closest at No. 116). Leading the MAAC in scoring offense (68.8) and scoring defense (57.7), Quinnipiac is rolling right now winners of three straight by an average margin of +19.3.
Fabbri and the Bobcats will be back in action for a spotlight showdown on Friday night as Quinnipiac hosts MAAC rival Iona at 5 PM in a game that can be seen on ESPNU. Quinnipiac has lost two straight to the Gaels including a 58-44 loss earlier this season in New Rochelle.
