The Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team will travel to the Capital District to take on nationally-ranked No. 7/7 Union College on Friday, Feb. 17 at Messa Rink before heading to Troy, New York on Saturday, Feb. 18 to face Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at Houston Field House.
THE BOBCATS LAST TIME OUT
On Friday, Feb. 10, the Bobcats lost to Clarkson, 4-2, in an ECAC Hockey match-up at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center.
• Chase Priskie (Pembroke Pines, Florida) and Kevin McKernan (Millbury, Massachusetts) both scored for the Bobcats while Tim Clifton (Matawan, New Jersey), Bo Pieper (Roseville, Minnesota) and Tanner MacMaster (Calgary, Alberta) all had assists. In goal, Andrew Shortridge (Anchorage, Alaska) stopped 27 of Clarkson's 30 shots on goal.
• Priskie's power-play goal was his third in his last two games after scoring twice against Yale on Saturday, Feb. 4. It also gives the Bobcats' second-year blue liner five goals and two assists in his last seven games. Priskie has been the Bobcats' top scorer since the start of the second half of the season, accumulating six goals and six assists in 12 games since Dec. 29, 2016 after logging a goal and 10 assists through the first 16 games of the year. His second-half run gives him a team-leading seven goals and 16 assists for 23 points in 28 games this season.
QUINNIPIAC vs. UNION
• Friday night's match-up at Messa Rink will mark the 36th meeting between the two teams with Quinnipiac holding a 18-13-4 record in the previous 31 games.
• Quinnipiac is 9-3-1 in its last 13 games against Union, which includes a 3-1-0 record in four postseason games in that span. Of those four games is the 2013 NCAA East Regional Championship.
• The Bobcats are 6-6-2 all-time at Messa Rink but have won two of the last three games on the Dutchmen's home ice.
SCOUTING THE NO. 7 UNION COLLEGE DUTCHMEN
• Union enters the weekend with a record of 20-8-2 overall and 13-4-1 in ECAC Hockey - good for first place in the league standings with 27 points.
• The Dutchmen also enter the weekend ranked No. 7 in the USCHO.com Division I Poll and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll.
• Since the start of the second half of the season, Union is 6-5-0 overall including a 5-3-0 record in eight league games.
• The Dutchmen feature two of the top four scorers in the country in Mike Vecchione and Spencer Foo who have combined for 43 goals and 58 assists for 101 points in 30 games. Vecchione sits at 23 goals and 28 assists for 51 points while Foo has doubled his career output in his junior season with 20 goals and 30 assists for 50 points.
• Nestled behind Union's high-scoring tandem is Sebastian Vidmar with 13 goals and 20 assists for 33 points in 27 games.
•In goal, Alex Sakellaropoulos is 17-4-1 with a .921 save percentage and a 2.44 GAA, however Jake Kupsky has started the last four games for the Dutchmen, posting a 2-2-0 record with a .898 save percentage and a 3.68 GAA. For the season, Kupsky is 3-4-1 with a 3.70 GAA and a .887 save percentage.
QUINNIPIAC vs. RENSSELAER
• Saturday night's match-up at the Houston Field House will be the 28th meeting between the two teams with Quinnipiac holding a 13-5-9 record all-time against the Engineers, including a 7-3-3 record in 13 games in Troy.
• Quinnipiac enters the latest installment in the all-time series riding a 13-game unbeaten streak against RPI at 8-0-5. In their last six games at Houston Field House, Quinnipiac is 4-0-2 with their last loss to RPI in Troy coming on Feb. 19, 2010.
SCOUTING THE RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE ENGINEERS
• RPI enters the weekend with a record of 6-24-1 overall and 4-14-0 in ECAC Hockey, placing them in 11th in the league standings with eight points.
• RPI is coming off a pair of losses at home against Cornell and at Dartmouth and have won three times in their last 10 games.
• Evan Tironese leads the Engineers in assists (19) and points (25) while Riley Bourbonnais has scored a team-leading 13 goals to go along with 11 assists for 24 points.
• In goal, Chase Perry is 4-16-1 overall with a 3.20 GAA and a .912 save percentage.
THE BRO SHOW
• Freshman defenseman Brogan Rafferty currently leads the Bobcats in assists (20) and sits second with 22 points to date.
• In 17 ECAC Hockey games, Rafferty has scored once and assisted on 12 more for 13 points.
• Rafferty saw a four-game point streak end on Saturday, Jan. 28 but the first-year blue liner tallied five assists in that four-game stretch.
• Rafferty's three-assist showing against Colgate on Nov. 19 were a career single-game best.
THE CHASE IS ON
• Sophomore Chase Priskie has scored three goals in his last two games, including a two-goal night against Yale on Feb. 4 and has scored five goals in his last five games.
• Priskie has also added four assists in his last seven games to give him nine points in that span.
• He currently sits as the team-leader in points (23) on the strength of seven goals and 16 assists.
LIFE OF THE MARTY
• Sophomore Craig Martin currently sits tied for thirdin the Quinnipiac line-up with 21 points on the strength of eight goals and 13 assists.
• Martin has been particularly solid in ECAC Hockey contests, totaling 14 points in 15 league games with four goals and 10 assists.
GO SHORTY
• In seven ECAC Hockey games, Andrew Shortridge is 4-2-0 with a .943 save percentage and a 1.66 GAA.
• Cumulatively, Shortridge is 6-5-0 with a .916 save percentage and a 2.24 GAA in 697:07 of play over 16 appearances this season.
• Shortridge's 21-save shutout against Brown on Friday, Jan. 3 was the first clean sheet by a freshman goalie since Eric Hartzell blanked Robert Morris, 5-0, on Oct. 30, 2009. It was also the first shutout against an ECAC Hockey opponent since Jan. 3, 2009 when Dan Clarke held Dartmouth scoreless.

• Senior Tim Clifton posted three points in the series against Arizona State with an assist in a 5-2 win before scoring once and assisted on Quinnipiac's other goal in a 4-2 loss.
• Clifton's three-point weekend snapped a four-game scoreless streak - his longest since he was held without a point for the final games of the 2014-15 season.
• Clifton currently leads Quinnipiac with 12 goals while his 21 points sit third behind Chase Priskie (23) and Brogan Rafferty (22) and tied with Craig Martin (21).

The Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team will travel to the Capital District to take on nationally-ranked No. 7/7 Union College on Friday, Feb. 17 at Messa Rink before heading to Troy, New York on Saturday, Feb. 18 to face Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at Houston Field House.
THE BOBCATS LAST TIME OUT
On Friday, Feb. 10, the Bobcats lost to Clarkson, 4-2, in an ECAC Hockey match-up at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center.
• Chase Priskie (Pembroke Pines, Florida) and Kevin McKernan (Millbury, Massachusetts) both scored for the Bobcats while Tim Clifton (Matawan, New Jersey), Bo Pieper (Roseville, Minnesota) and Tanner MacMaster (Calgary, Alberta) all had assists. In goal, Andrew Shortridge (Anchorage, Alaska) stopped 27 of Clarkson's 30 shots on goal.
• Priskie's power-play goal was his third in his last two games after scoring twice against Yale on Saturday, Feb. 4. It also gives the Bobcats' second-year blue liner five goals and two assists in his last seven games. Priskie has been the Bobcats' top scorer since the start of the second half of the season, accumulating six goals and six assists in 12 games since Dec. 29, 2016 after logging a goal and 10 assists through the first 16 games of the year. His second-half run gives him a team-leading seven goals and 16 assists for 23 points in 28 games this season.
QUINNIPIAC vs. UNION
• Friday night's match-up at Messa Rink will mark the 36th meeting between the two teams with Quinnipiac holding a 18-13-4 record in the previous 31 games.
• Quinnipiac is 9-3-1 in its last 13 games against Union, which includes a 3-1-0 record in four postseason games in that span. Of those four games is the 2013 NCAA East Regional Championship.
• The Bobcats are 6-6-2 all-time at Messa Rink but have won two of the last three games on the Dutchmen's home ice.
SCOUTING THE NO. 7 UNION COLLEGE DUTCHMEN
• Union enters the weekend with a record of 20-8-2 overall and 13-4-1 in ECAC Hockey - good for first place in the league standings with 27 points.
• The Dutchmen also enter the weekend ranked No. 7 in the USCHO.com Division I Poll and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll.
• Since the start of the second half of the season, Union is 6-5-0 overall including a 5-3-0 record in eight league games.
• The Dutchmen feature two of the top four scorers in the country in Mike Vecchione and Spencer Foo who have combined for 43 goals and 58 assists for 101 points in 30 games. Vecchione sits at 23 goals and 28 assists for 51 points while Foo has doubled his career output in his junior season with 20 goals and 30 assists for 50 points.
• Nestled behind Union's high-scoring tandem is Sebastian Vidmar with 13 goals and 20 assists for 33 points in 27 games.
•In goal, Alex Sakellaropoulos is 17-4-1 with a .921 save percentage and a 2.44 GAA, however Jake Kupsky has started the last four games for the Dutchmen, posting a 2-2-0 record with a .898 save percentage and a 3.68 GAA. For the season, Kupsky is 3-4-1 with a 3.70 GAA and a .887 save percentage.
QUINNIPIAC vs. RENSSELAER
• Saturday night's match-up at the Houston Field House will be the 28th meeting between the two teams with Quinnipiac holding a 13-5-9 record all-time against the Engineers, including a 7-3-3 record in 13 games in Troy.
• Quinnipiac enters the latest installment in the all-time series riding a 13-game unbeaten streak against RPI at 8-0-5. In their last six games at Houston Field House, Quinnipiac is 4-0-2 with their last loss to RPI in Troy coming on Feb. 19, 2010.
SCOUTING THE RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE ENGINEERS
• RPI enters the weekend with a record of 6-24-1 overall and 4-14-0 in ECAC Hockey, placing them in 11th in the league standings with eight points.
• RPI is coming off a pair of losses at home against Cornell and at Dartmouth and have won three times in their last 10 games.
• Evan Tironese leads the Engineers in assists (19) and points (25) while Riley Bourbonnais has scored a team-leading 13 goals to go along with 11 assists for 24 points.
• In goal, Chase Perry is 4-16-1 overall with a 3.20 GAA and a .912 save percentage.

• Freshman defenseman Brogan Rafferty currently leads the Bobcats in assists (20) and sits second with 22 points to date.

• Rafferty saw a four-game point streak end on Saturday, Jan. 28 but the first-year blue liner tallied five assists in that four-game stretch.
• Rafferty's three-assist showing against Colgate on Nov. 19 were a career single-game best.
THE CHASE IS ON
• Sophomore Chase Priskie has scored three goals in his last two games, including a two-goal night against Yale on Feb. 4 and has scored five goals in his last five games.
• Priskie has also added four assists in his last seven games to give him nine points in that span.
• He currently sits as the team-leader in points (23) on the strength of seven goals and 16 assists.
LIFE OF THE MARTY
• Sophomore Craig Martin currently sits tied for thirdin the Quinnipiac line-up with 21 points on the strength of eight goals and 13 assists.
• Martin has been particularly solid in ECAC Hockey contests, totaling 14 points in 15 league games with four goals and 10 assists.
GO SHORTY
• In seven ECAC Hockey games, Andrew Shortridge is 4-2-0 with a .943 save percentage and a 1.66 GAA.
• Cumulatively, Shortridge is 6-5-0 with a .916 save percentage and a 2.24 GAA in 697:07 of play over 16 appearances this season.
