PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island – The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team was defeated by the Providence College Friars on Friday night, 3-1. The Bobcats scored with a Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout power play goal halfway through the 3rd period, but Providence had already amassed a 3-0 lead.

- 11:58 2nd Period (PC 2-0): Brooke Boquist tapped in a rebound from point blank range on the right side after a shot by Avery Fransoo for a 5 on 3 power play goal. Fransoo received a pass from Rachel Rockwell before her shot.
- 18:16 2nd Period (PC 3-0): Madison Sansone found twine on the right side after a centering pass from Cassidy MacPherson. MacPherson sent the pass in from the left side after a pass from Kate Friesen.
- 9:40 3rd Period (PC 3-1): Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout plants one from close range after beautiful passes from Kate MacKenzie and Kati Tabin for a 5 on 3 power play goal. MacKenzie hit Coutu-Godbout with perfect strike from behind the net.

- Sophomore Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout (Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec) takes over the team lead in goals (2).
- Sophomore Kate MacKenzie (Winnipeg, Manitoba) now has tied team leaders, senior assistant captain T.T. Cianfarano (Oswego, New York) and junior captain Melissa Samoskevich (Sandy Hook, Connecticut), in assists (2).
- Coutu-Godbout and MacKenzie are now tied for the team lead in points (3).
- Sophomore Kati Tabin (Winnipeg, Manitoba) recorded her first assist and point of the season. She now has six career assists and eight career points.
- Sophomore Abbie Ives (Bedford Hills, New York) made 22 saves on the evening, giving her 52 saves for the year.
- The Bobcats outshot the Friars 9-1 in the 3rd period after being outshot 24-11 in the first two periods.
- Freshman Taylor House (Joliet, Illinois) led the Bobcats with 4 shots for the game. Sophomore Abby Cleary (Buffalo, New York) and Samoskevich finished with 3.
- This is the second game in a row that the Bobcats have scored a power-play goal.
