SCORING SUMMARY
- 3:59 (QU 1, RID 0): Madison Borowiec (Windsor, Connecticut) won a tackle at midfield as she punched the ball to Gill who dribbled right at the Rider defense. Still with the ball at the 30-yard line, Gill blasted a shot high with plenty of pace that made it over the sprawling hands of Rider keeper Carmen Carbonell
- 84:13 (QU 1, RID 1): Sustaining pressure throughout the match, Rider finished off the goal that sealed their away point as Michelle Iacono rifled in a shot within the box that was initially blocked away. Landing at the feet of Picinich, the Broncs' junior midfielder made no mistake as she tipped it past Olivia Myszewski (Elm Grove, Wisconsin) in net
- Quinnipiac snaps a three-game losing streak against the Broncs but remain winless in the last four MAAC contests facing Rider
- The Bobcats maintain a slim lead in the MAAC standings as Quinnipiac's 11 points sit ahead of Manhattan (3-1 MAAC) who face Saint Peter's later tonight
- Gill becomes the 10th player in the nation to compile double digit goals on the season as the junior fired in her 10th goal of 2017
- She also moves up to a tie for third in the nation in total points with 27 (10 goals, seven assists in 13 games)
- Madison Borowiec factored on the Gill goal with her fifth assist of the season, moving her into a tie with Al Pelletier (Cheshire, Connecticut) for the third-most assists on the team
- Borowiec continues her breakout season as the junior midfielder now ranks third on the team in points with 13 (four goals, five assists) which easily surpasses her previous career-best of six from last season
- Both keepers played incredibly well as Myszewski came up with seven saves including one on Iacono in the 30th minute where she dove full-extension to her left to tip away the twirling shot that had an eye for the goal
- Since the start of MAAC play, Myszewski has totaled 35 saves (.875 save percentage) with a 0.77 goals-against average and two clean sheets in six league contests
- Quinnipiac hit the post three times this afternoon, as Gill, Jess Gargan (Dublin, Ireland) and Jenn Maldonado (Bridgeport, Connecticut) each struck the post once
- After generating just one shot on-target through the end of regulation, Quinnipiac came up with four shots-on-goal in the two overtime periods combined (three in the second overtime period)
- Ten of Rider's 19 total attempted shots came off the foot of Iacono as the Broncs' leading scorer generated six shots on-target in her 110 minutes of action
