Gaels Strike With 48.5 Seconds Remaining to Squander Bobcat Comeback Attempt
NEW ROCHELLE, New York – Just five minutes after the Quinnipiac women's soccer team netted the equalizer, Iona's Erica Flowers drove in the game-winner with just 48.5 seconds remaining to push the Gaels past the Bobcats, 2-1, on Wednesday afternoon from Mazzella Field. Al Pelletier (Cheshire, Connecticut) struck with the equalizer for her fourth goal of the season to account for the Quinnipiac scoring.
