
QU Men's Ice Hockey's Sam Anas Named To All-CHN Team

HAMDEN, Connecticut – Quinnipiac men's ice hockey junior Sam Anas (Potomac, Maryland) was named to the 2016 All-CHN Second Team, as announced by CollegeHockeyNews.com on Wednesday, Mar. 30.
Anas' latest honor comes after previously being named to the 2015-16 ECAC Hockey First Team as well as the NCAA Tournament All-Regional Team. In 2014, Anas was honored by CollegeHockeyNews.com as the CHN National Rookie of the Year.
As the Bobcats head to their second NCAA Frozen Four in four seasons, Anas sits as the team's leader in goals (24), assists (26) and points (50). He also leads Quinnipiac with 10 power-play goals while his 24 power-play points lead all NCAA Division I student-athletes. Anas is also one of seven players with 24 or more goals and one of nine with 50 or more points to date.
Anas earned All-NCAA East Regional recognition after picking up an assist against RIT in a 4-0 win before adding a highlight-reel goal against UMass Lowell to help Quinnipiac to the East Regional Championship. The Bobcats' wing was one of seven players to score a goal in 20 or more games this season, and also led the country with two extra-attacker goals.
