All-Time Series vs. Binghamton: 6-2
Last Meeting: L, 11-8 (Feb 28, 2015 – Hamden, CT)
The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team continues its 2016 regular season on Saturday when the Bobcats travel to upstate New York for a matchup against Binghamton at 1 PM from the Bearcats Sports Complex. This marks the third straight season that Quinnipiac will matchup against the Bearcats. The Bobcats are looking to get back on the winning side as they defeated Binghamton in the first six meetings of the all-time series but have lost the last two to the Bearcats.
ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST BINGHAMTON (6-2)
Quinnipiac and Binghamton have faced each other eight times in the all-time series dating back to the 2002 season. The Bobcats had taken the first six meetings by a combined score of 97-33, including a 23-0 shutout victory in their first all-time meeting back on March 27, 2002, but Binghamton has broken through with wins in the last two season including a 9-8 win in Vestal in 2014 followed by an 11-8 win in Hamden last season.
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Binghamton (1-2) posted a pair of impressive results in their first two games of 2015 as the Bearcats battled the No. 3 ranked team in the nation Syracuse to a 9-6 loss on the road followed by a thrilling 6-5 overtime home win over Niagara last Saturday. Those two early results were followed by a most-recent disappointing 15-7 loss at Lafayette on Wednesday. Goal scoring hasn't been one of the team strengths thus far in the season as Binghamton is averaging just 6.33 goals per game while they've also been held under eight goals in all three of their games so far in the season. Tiffany Ryan paces the Binghamton attack with a team-leading four goals in 2016 while Sophia Racciatti (two goals, two assists) also has four points while Callon Williams has tallied three goals. Goalkeeper Erin McNulty has been the team's best player so far in the year as she has compiled a .512 save percentage which ranks 19th in the nation and leads all America East keepers. She also owns an 8.49 goals against average which also leads the conference while posting 7.33 save per game. Allie Rodgers is also a player to watch on the defensive end for Binghamton as she ranks seventh in the nation averaging 3.33 caused turnovers per game.
FINDING THEIR IDENTITY
Coming off a disappointing 21-0 loss in the 2016 season opener, Quinnipiac certainly found their defensive identity in the second half at Yale (2/24) as the Bulldogs scored just three of their 11 goals in the final 30 minutes of play. The 11-goal total for the Bulldogs also easily stands as the fewest allowed by Quinnipiac in the series history as the previous fewest came in 2014 when Yale defeated the Bobcats, 15-8.
LARKIN LEADING THE WAY
Sophomore goalkeeper Kyle Larkin played the best game of her young career as she picked up a career-high 11 saves on 22 shots-on-goal (.500 save percentage) including eight in the second half alone at Yale (2/24). The double-digit save game is the second of her young career with just seven starts to her name. Larkin also added another career-high six ground balls in the defeat.
THAT'S MINE!
Sophomore Kiera Kelly filled the stat sheet with career highs in ground balls (eight) and caused turnovers (four) at Yale (2/24). After becoming the first freshman in program history to lead Quinnipiac in ground balls and caused turnovers last season, Kelly came one ground ball shy of matching the single-game program record (nine) which was compiled by Christy Smallman against Vermont on March 4, 2005.
AT THE TOP OF HER CRAFT
Kiera Kelly has seen a meteoric rise in her production through two games in 2016. Having compiled nine ground balls and seven caused turnovers, Kelly currently stands tied for sixth in the nation with 4.50 ground balls per game and tied for fourth in the nation with 3.50 caused turnovers. Kelly joins Harvard's Julia Glynn, Sacred Heart's Caitlin Delaney and Presbyterian's Maura Talvacchia as the only players to rank Top 10 in the nation in both statistical categories.
DEFENSIVE DOMINOS
Quinnipiac's defensive tandem of Leah Walter and Kiera Kelly each posted a solid outing in the season opener at UConn (2/17). Walter chipped in three ground balls and two caused turnovers while Kelly tallied a career high three caused turnovers in the loss.

She has also chipped in 45 ground balls, 37 draw controls and 19 caused turnovers at the midfield position. The 2015 campaign was a very successful one for Carey as she tallied new single-season career-highs in goals (16), assists (seven), points (23), shots (39) and shots-on-goal (28) in 13 games before missing the final three games of the season due to injury. Her 23 points led all Quinnipiac midfielders in 2015 while she will be the second-leading returning scorer for the Bobcats in 2016. Carey is a two-time MAAC All-Academic Team honoree.

THE BALL STOPS AT KIERA KELLY
As a freshman in 2015, Kiera Kelly was honored as one of four freshman in the MAAC to make the All-Rookie Team via unanimous selection. Kelly was stellar on the defensive end as she led the team with 41 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers. In the 18-year history of the women's lacrosse program, Kelly became the first freshman to lead the team in both statistical categories for a single-season. Prior to Kelly's 2015 campaign, the last time an underclassman led the team in ground balls was Kim Davis (Soph.) in 2010 with 44 and the last time a freshman led QU in ground balls was Tiffany Manzi in 2006 with 44. The last underclassman to lead the team in caused turnovers was Ashley Valentine (Soph.) in 2007 with 20. Kelly is the first freshman to lead the team in caused turnovers.
