The Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team will face Robert Morris on Friday, Dec. 30 for the Three Rivers Classic Championship at PPG Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Quinnipiac is coming off a 3-1 win against nationally-ranked No. 6 Boston College on Thursday night.
ALL-TIME AGAINST ROBERT MORRIS
Quinnipiac and Robert Morris have faced each other 16 times since the 2004-05 season, with the Bobcats owning a 10-5-1 record. Quinnipiac last played the Colonials in 2012-13, defeating RMU, 4-0, on Oct. 13 before dropping the second game, 4-0, at home on Oct. 14.
SCOUTING ROBERT MORRIS
Robert Morris is led by a trio of 20-point scorers, headlined by Brady Ferguson who checks in with 14 goals and 19 assists for 33 points. Daniel Leavens has scored seven goals and assisted on 18 more for 25 points while Alex Tonge has 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points. In goal, Francis Marotte pitched a shutout on Thursday night, holding Ferris State scoreless in a 1-0 victory in which he stopped all 32 of the Bulldogs' shots-on-goal. Marotte is 8-3-2 with a 1.72 GAA and a .946 save percentage.

Quinnipiac improved to 2-0 all-time against Boston College with a 3-1 win in the first game of the Three Rivers Classic on Thursday, Dec. 29. The Bobcats benefitted from goals by Tanner MacMaster (Calgary, Alberta), Craig Martin (Trail, British Columbia) and Bo Pieper (Roseville, Minnesota), who also picked up an assist in the game. In goal, Chris Truehl (Madison, Wisconsin) stopped 21 of BC's 22 shots on goal in the win.

BO PIEPER NOTES
- Bo Pieper is currently enjoying a break-out season in which he has scored seven goals and assisted on five more for 12 points – good for second in goals and fifth in points on the Bobcats' roster.
- His two-point night on Thursday marked the third time that he scored a goal and assisted on another this season. He previously did it in a 3-2 win against UMass and also in a 4-1 win against RPI.
- Pieper now has two goals and three assists for five points in his last five games.
- With an assist on Thursday night, Landon Smith (Greenwood Village, Colorado) now has a point in three straight games and seven points – on a goal and six assists – in his last five games.
- For the year, Smith is tied with Tim Clifton with 16 points on the strength of five goals and 11 assists.
- In 102 career games, Smith has scored 32 goals and assisted on 52 more.
- Sophomore Craig Martin scored his sixth goal of the season, to go along with seven assists, to give him a career-best 13 points to date.
- Martin had three goals and seven assists for 10 points in the month of November, but hadn't registered a point in the Bobcats four games in the month of December before Thursday.
- Tanner MacMaster found the back of the net early in the second period to put Quinnipiac on the board, giving him five goals for the year. MacMaster had three goals and two assists through the Bobcats first 10 games before missing the next five games to injury. He scored in his return against RPI on Dec. 2, but sustained another injury and was forced to miss three more games. Thursday night marked his return, where he scored in his second straight game played.
- MacMaster now has four goals in his last six games played.
- MacMaster's five goals match his career-best that he scored as a freshman in 2014-15.
