HAMDEN, Connecticut – The Quinnipiac men's tennis team celebrated its first dual win in style as the Bobcats made quick work of Rider, sweeping the Broncs 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at the QU Tennis Courts.
The Bobcats won in dominating fashion, as they did not allow the Broncs to win a single set in any match. All six Bobcats in action on the day earned two victories, improving Quinnipiac's record to 1-0 (1-0 MAAC), while Rider falls to 0-4 (0-2 MAAC).

The freshman duo of Axel Stern (Tustin, California) and Patrick Cachapero (Loma Linda, California) then teamed up to defeat Ryan Ciaccio and Matt Begley, 6-1. The Bobcats completed the doubles sweep when Julian Rozenstein (Marlboro, New Jersey) and Ryoma Haraguchi (New York, New York) matched-up with Brandon Gildea and Griffin Clark. Rozenstein and Haraguchi followed the doubles trend for the day and defeated the Rider pair, 6-1, giving the Bobcats the doubles point on the day.
The competition moved into singles play, where the Bobcats continued their dominance, winning six straight matches. Ezaka got singles play started in the No. 1 singles match, where he defeated Popso 6-1 in straight sets. Zaretsky then followed suit, defeating Clark 6-0 and 6-1 in straight sets.
