
Men's Tennis Travels to take on Saint Peter's

The Quinnipiac men's tennis team will travel to take on Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference rival Saint Peter's on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 3 p.m.
SCOUTING THE PEACOCKS
Saint Peter's men's tennis is off to a slow start to the 2016-17 season by going 0-2 to begin the season. The Peacocks suffered a season opening 8-1 loss to Queens, followed by a 7-0 loss at the hands of Wagner.
LAST SEASON AGAINST THE PEACOCKS
The Bobcats won their only match against the Peacocks last season, 7-0, which gave Quinnipiac its second MAAC win of the season and pushed its record to 4-0 at the time. Kyle Alper (Dix Hills, New York) reached the 50 career win mark on the day.
LAST TIME OUT
In the Bobcats last match, they swept Rider 7-0 to earn their first dual win and first MAAC win of the season. The Bobcats won in dominating fashion, as they did not allow the Broncs to win a single set in any match, as well as all six Bobcats in action on the day earned two victories.
MAKE-UP DATE
Quinnipiac men's tennis was supposed to take on UConn on Sunday, Oct. 9, but the match had to be postponed due to rain. However, the match will take place on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 12 p.m.
MISSING IN ACTION
Senior Kei Ezaka (Ojai, California) won't be in attendance for the Quinnipiac's matches against Saint Peter's and UConn due to being chosen to participate at the 2016 Oracle/ITA Masters at Pepperdine University, which takes place from Oct. 13-16. Each collegiate conference gets one player into the singles draw per gender. The player that is chosen is the returning conference player of the year, Ezaka was the 2015-16 MAAC Player of the Year.
FOLLOW THE LEADERS
With Ezaka missing the matches, Ryoma Haraguchi (New York, New York), Julian Rozenstein (Marlboro, New Jersey) and Austin Yannone (Severna, Maryland) will be leading the team in wins going into the Saint Peter's match. Haraguchi boasts an 11-4 record, Rozenstein has a 10-3 record and Yannone boasts a 10-3 record.
COMING UP NEXT
Following the contest against Saint Peter's, Quinnipiac men's tennis team will head to UConn to take on the Huskies on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 12 p.m., followed by traveling to the University of Pennsylvania to participate in the ITA Regionals to close the season from Oct. 19- Oct. 23.
