QU Women's Golf Completes First Day of Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, New Jersey - The Quinnipiac University women's golf team finished the first day of the 18th Annual Princeton Invitational in 15th place.

The Bobcats completed the first day with a combined 339 ( 51), which put them 33 strokes behind leader Princeton's 306 ( 18). Columbia was second at 312 ( 24), followed by Rutgers' 315 ( 27), while Harvard and Yale shared the fourth spot with 318 ( 30). Delaware (319, 31), Penn and Georgetown (320, 32),Dartmouth (322, 34), Seton Hall (324, 36), Lehigh (325, 38), Bucknell (331, 43), Brown (334, 46) and Navy (335, 47) all finished ahead of Quinnipiac.

Freshman Caitlan Blydenburgh (Castleton, New York) shot an 83 ( 11) while Julia Kemmling (Berlin, Connecticut) and Nicole Scola (Westerly, Rhode Island) both shot 85 ( 13). Jenn Whaley (Farmington, Connecticut) and Luciana Tobia (La Paz, Bolivia)carded 86 ( 14).

Quinnipiac is back in action on Sunday, Oct. 4 with the final 18 holes of the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Course in Princeton, New Jersey.
