Jack Oppenheimer Earns ECAC Lacrosse Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Conn. - Quinnipiac University junior men's lacrosse attackman Jack
Oppenheimer (Conshohocken, Pa.) has been named the ECAC Lacrosse
Co-Offensive Player of the Week, the league office today announced.
Oppenheimer, who shares the award with Denver's Mark Matthews this
week, scored a career-high six goals, tying his career high in
points (6), as the Bobcats cruised past ECAC foe Bellarmine
Saturday, 20-7.
The six goals are second in program Division I history, trailing only Alan Loguidice, who scored seven twice in 2001. Included in Oppenheimer's six goals were four in a seven-goal run by the Bobcats from midway through the first quarter to early in the second to turn a 3-2 lead into a 10-2 cushion. Oppenheimer's 26 goals this year have already surpassed his 2009 total of 20, and lead the Bobcats this season. His 32 points rank second on the team, trailing only Christian Haggerty's 35.
The Bobcats return to action Tuesday night, when they travel south on the Merritt Parkway to face intrastate rival Sacred Heart. Opening face-off from Campus Field is scheduled for 7 p.m.
