HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University men's basketball team, senior forward Justin Rutty (Newburgh, N.Y.) and junior guard James Johnson (Queens, N.Y.) were highlighted in a recent ESPN.com article by Mark Adams. In Adams' "A weekly look at the mid-major scene," he lists Rutty among the 20 players from mid-major schools he'd assemble on a team "and the mission was to beat all of the big boys." In listing Quinnipiac as the top team in the "Who Else Is Hot" section on his piece, Adams calls Johnson and Rutty, "the best 1-2 punch in the NEC." He also says, "the Bobcats look like heavy favorites in the NEC."
