
Women's Soccer's Sara Lawlor Named Brine/NEC Rookie Of The Week

Quinnipiac University women's soccer freshman Sara Lawlor (Dublin, Ireland) was named the Brine/NEC Rookie of the Week, as announced by the Northeast Conference office today. The award is Lawlor's second of the year.
Against Robert Morris, Lawlor scored a pair of goal's in Quinnipiac's 3-0 win over the Colonials. For the year, Quinnipiac is 9-2-1 overall and 2-0-1 in NEC play, trailing first place Monmouth University by three points. Quinnipiac has gone undefeated in their last three games, all against NEC schools, and have won 9 of their last 11.
Lawlor currently leads the Northeast Confernece with 21 points and seven assists while she is also tied for the league lead in goals with seven. The Bobcats has shutout seven of their 11 opponents for the year. Senior goalkeeper Chloe Beizer (Great Falls, VA/Maret School) made eight saves in Quinnipiac's last two matches, a 3-0 win over Robert Morris and a 0-0 tie with St. Francis (Pa.), en-route to a pair of shutouts.
