
Women's Soccer Shuts Out Robert Morris, 3-0

Sophomore Sarah Lawlor (Dublin, Ireland) scored two goals as the Quinnipiac women's soccer team (9-2, 2-0) stayed undefeated in NEC play by besting Robert Morris 3-0 Friday at Bobcat Field.
Senior goalkeeper Chloe Beizer (Great Falls, Va.) picked up her fifth shutout of the season while collecting two saves.
On an extremely windy day in Hamden, Conn., the Bobcats struck first in the 21st minute, when Lawlor collected the rebound off of a shot by freshman Meagan McLoughlin (Rocky Hill, Conn.) and put it in the net for her sixth goal of the year. The Bobcats went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
Quinnipiac scored next in the 56th minute, when senior Leisl Lissfelt (Woodstock, Conn.) put a header into the top left corner of the net for her second goal of the season off of a free kick from sophomore Susan Donovan (Cork, Ireland).
Donovan also assisted on the Bobcats' final goal of the game, when Lawlor scored her seventh goal of the season and second of the game in the 62nd minute.
The Quinnipiac women's soccer team continues play Sunday, October 14 when they take on Saint Francis (Pa.) at 12:00 p.m. at Bobcat Field in Hamden, Conn.
