As a Senior in 2017-18:
• Played in all 36 games, a career-high
• Recorded 1 goal and 1 assist for 2 points
• Blocked 19 shots, including 3 in a 2-1 win at Maine on Sept. 29, 2017
As a Junior in 2016-17:
• Played in a career-high 31 games
• Recorded 1 assist for 1 point
• Recorded an assist in win over Penn State
As a Sophomore in 2015-16:
• Appeared in a career-high 15 games for the Bobcats
• Tallied two assists for the second straight season and recorded just one penalty
• Picked up her first assist and had a season-high two shots on goal at Union on Jan. 9 in Quinnipiac’s 5-0 win
• Recorded her second assist of the season and had a +3 plus/minus at home against Union in a 9-0 win
• Tied her season-high with two shots on goal in the Bobcats’ 2-1 double overtime win over Rensselaer on Feb. 27
As a Freshman in 2014-15:
• Selected to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team
• Totaled two assists in 14 games, accumulating a +4 plus/minus rating
• Recorded her first career assist in a victory over Union on Nov. 15
• Assisted the game-winning goal against Princeton on Jan. 6
• Recorded a season-high two shots against Maine on Oct. 17
Before Quinnipiac:
• A local product out of Enfield, Conn., she is the first Connecticut-born player to suit up for Quinnipiac since defenseman Bethany Dymarczyk back in 2012
• Graduated from the Hotchkiss School in 2013 with 11 varsity letters, including four in ice hockey and field hockey, two in softball and one in lacrosse
• Cherpak teamed up with fellow freshman teammate Tori DeAngelis to lead Westminster School to the Division I New England Prep School Championship
• Westminster, the No. 6 overall seed entering the playoffs, upset the top three seeded teams in New England to capture the title
• Prior to attending Westminster, Cherpak was a four-sport athlete at the Hotchkiss School competing in field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse and softball
• While at Hotchkiss, Cherpak captained the field hockey team and served as the assistant captain for ice hockey during her senior year
• She won the Hotchkiss Girl’s Senior Athlete Award and earned Founders League All-Star honors in both field hockey (2011) and softball (2013)
• An offensively talented defenseman with puck skill and a hard shot, she was also a multi-year member of one of the nation’s top club programs, Team Pittsburgh U-19
Personal:
• Born in Hartford, Conn. and raised in Enfield, Conn.
• Daughter of John and Laura Cherpak
• Has one older brother Mike
• Her brother Mike played ice hockey for Suffolk University
• Involved in volunteering at local soup kitchens, the Best Buddies Friendship Walk, and fundraising for youth mental health awareness for the DIFD foundation
• Plans to join the military after graduating
