Corey Keane will enters his sixth season as an assistant coach for the Quinnipiac baseball team in 2022. He works primarily with the outfielders.
Keane played a big role in 2019 as he helped Quinnipiac win the 2019 MAAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships, reachethe NCAA Tournament and earn an NCAA win at #10 ECU and set a program record with 30 wins.
Keane has helped coach 12 All-MAAC selections since joining the coaching staff in 2017, including three outfielders.
Keane joined the Quinnipiac staff after completing his collegiate career at Eastern Connecticut State University. The Warriors won the 2014 Little East Conference Championship and Keane was named first team All-Conference the following season. A versatile player who who able to adapt, Keane played five different positions while at ECSU for three different head coaches. He was part of a program that won over 100 games while at Eastern, earning three varsity letters.
Keane became the Head Coach of the West Hartford Thunder of the Connecticut Collegiate Baseball League in May of 2017. He led the team to a 15-8 record last summer.
Keane's career in coaching began while he was still playing ball and studying at Eastern when he was an assistant coach for the Tolland Legion Team in Tolland, Connecticut. He began coaching there in 2013. He has also worked as an instructor at the Jim Warwruck Baseball Camp and the Bill Holowaty Baseball Camp, as well as providing private hitting and fielding lessons.
Keane graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2016.
