Before Quinnipiac:
- A native of New Zealand, made his debut in the ASB Premiership with Canterbury United in 2015
- Named to the Canterbury senior team in 2014
- Played for Cashmere Technical senior men's team in 2014 and helped lead them to the National New Zealand Club Tournament Championship and won the Chatham Cup
- His 2014 Cashmere team also won the Mainland Premier League and South Island Cup
- Named Mainland Premier League and Canterbury United Youth Player of the Year in 2014
- Evans, the Vice Captain, was also named Canterbury United Youth Players' Player of the Year
- Made a guest appearance in 2014 on Wellington Phoenix Reserve Team
- Team was an English Cup Finalist in 2014 and Hurley Shield Holders
- In 2013, Evans played for the Cashmere Reserve Team where he led them to a division championship

- He is the son of Therese and Ceri Evans, his father is a former Rhodes Scholar and professional and National team player
