Head Coach Kyle Robinson Reaches 100 Wins at Quinnipiac
DOVER, DE – Quinnipiac women's volleyball capped off the weekend on Saturday at Memorial Hall, defeating NJIT to close out action at the DSU Invitational.
The Bobcats split a pair of matches on Saturday, dropping a five-set decision to Delaware State before sweeping NJIT in three sets.
With the 3-0 victory over the Highlanders on Saturday night, Quinnipiac Head Coach Kyle Robinson earned his 100th career win with the Bobcats. He reaches the milestone mark in his eighth season (2019–present).

- Giulia Ragusa led the Bobcats with 31 kills across the two contests, including a team-high 12 kills during the victory over NJIT. She posted a .394 attack percentage over the two games.
- Klara Olszewska recorded 81 total assists over the two matches, dishing out a new career-high 56 assists against Delaware State and adding 25 more in the victory over NJIT.
- Vittoria Tonelli registered a double-double with 19 kills and 13 digs during the first match against Delaware State.
- Carola Negron Diaz totaled 24 digs over the two contests, including 18 during the first game vs. Delaware State.
- Asia Belli and Sila Yildiz both added 13 kills over the two matchups.
- Sahra Ozbiltekin registered 10 digs during Quinnipiac's win over NJIT during the afternoon.
GAME REWIND (Delaware State 3, Quinnipiac 2)
- Set 1: Delaware State used a late push to claim the opening set in a tight back-and-forth frame. The Bobcats generated offensive rhythm through Ragusa and Tonelli, but the Hornets answered with a strong front line and defensive transition play, pulling away late for a 25-23 win.
- Set 2: Quinnipiac built momentum behind clean setting from Olszewska, but Delaware State capitalized on crucial late points to mirror the opening set's score. Despite high-volume offensive output from the Bobcats, the Hornets held firm late in the set to build a 2-0 match lead.
- Set 3: Refusing to go down without a fight, the Bobcats responded with their sharpest frame of the morning. Ragusa and Tonelli found gaps in the Hornets' defense, while Farah Sherif and Asia Belli contributed timely stops at the net. Quinnipiac closed out the final points to slice the match deficit in half.
- Set 4: Quinnipiac carried its momentum straight into the fourth, controlling the pace from start to finish. The Bobcats' back-row defense, led by Negron Diaz, kept multi-rally possessions alive, while Olszewska consistently distributed to set up high-percentage kills. QU cruised to a 25-18 decision to force a deciding fifth set.
- Set 5: In the sprint to 15, Delaware State re-established its blocking at the net to take an early edge. The Bobcats cut into the deficit midway through the frame, but the Hornets converted on key transition chances down the stretch to seal the match, 15-11.
- Set 1: The Bobcats established control early, utilizing precise distribution to build an efficient multi-point cushion. NJIT kept the opening frame close through transition plays, but Quinnipiac's front line delivered down the stretch to close out the set, 25-21, and take a 1-0 match lead. Ragusa had four kills to lead QU in the opening set.
- Set 2: Quinnipiac carried its momentum directly into the second frame, leaning on sharp back-row passing to keep the offence in system. The Bobcats capitalized on a strong mid-set service run, pulling away from the Highlanders to claim a comfortable 25-18 decision. Ragusa led the Bobcats with five kills during the set.
- Set 3: Looking to seal the sweep, the Bobcats maintained high offensive tempo while locking down defensively at the net. QU staved off a late push by NJIT, forcing key attacking errors and converting on final match points to complete the 25-19 win and secure the 3-0 victory. Azra Ozbiltekin helped Quinnipiac clinch the victory with five kills during the clincher.
