QU Athletics Celebrates School Spirit and Kicks Off Winter Sports with Midday Madness Event

HAMDEN, CT — Quinnipiac Athletics hosted its high-energy, student-focused "Midday Madness" event today at Burt Kahn Court in Hamden, bringing together students, fans, and student-athletes to celebrate Quinnipiac University school spirit and kick off the upcoming winter sports seasons.

The action-packed event served as an official kickoff for Quinnipiac's winter sport season. Midday Madness offered attendees their first opportunity to see and interact with this season's roster of student-athletes. Filled with music, entertainment, food, contests, and giveaways, the court was alive with excitement throughout the event.

Fans in attendance got an exclusive look at several Quinnipiac athletic teams, including:

The program featured special remarks from university leaders and athletic figures, including Quinnipiac President Marie Hardin, Women's Ice Hockey student-athletes Brynne West and Kahlen Lamarche, Men's Basketball Head Coach Tom Pecora, and Women's Basketball Head Coach Roman Owen.

Highlights of the day included a dynamic team routine performed by the Acrobatics & Tumbling program, as well as spirited school chants led by Quinnipiac spirit groups to energize the crowd.
