Melbourne, Fla. - The Quinnipiac women's golf team wrapped up day one at the Space Coast Classic hosted by Columbia at the Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Florida. After day one in Florida, the Bobcats sit in eleventh place out of 14 teams.

Junior Samantha Galantini and sophomore Marisa Flores were Quinnipiac's highest finishers after day one, finishing with a two-round total of 151 (+7).

Sophia Fujita finished five strokes behind Galantini and Flores with a total score of 156 (+12).

Natalie Spiska and Tekla Fine-Lease rounded out the Quinnipiac grouping on the first day of the tournament.

The Bobcats will compete on the second day of the Space Coast Classic on Sunday, February 22nd, at the Duran Golf Club.

SCORES AND NOTES

Samantha Galantini, Marisa Flores, and Sophia Fujita tied for the best round of any Bobcat (75, +3).
Flores and Fujita shot a 75 in the first round of competition, while Galantini carded a 75 in the second round.
Natalie Spiska's best round was the first round as she shot a 78 (+6) on the first 18 holes.
