Marinov, No. 6 Bobcats Blank St. Lawrence in Convincing Shutout

CANTON, N.Y. — The No. 6 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program rolled to its seventh consecutive ECAC victory on Friday night, knocking off St. Lawrence by a 7-0 final to start its North Country road trip.
Chris Pelosi and Antonin Verreault led the way, as Pelosi finished with two goals and two assists, while Verreault chipped in a tally of his own along with a pair of helpers. They were two of five Bobcats who chipped in multiple helpers, including Logan McCutcheon, who recorded his first two collegiate points.
Pelosi and Andon Cerbone each found twine a pair of times, scoring in each of the first two periods to allow the Bobcats to take control.
Markus Vidicek maintained his team lead with 16 goals now on the year after scoring the opening and game-winning goal with a deflection of a Mason Marcellus shot in front.
Matej Marinov stopped all 23 shots on his cage, recording his second shutout of the season and sixth of his collegiate career.

Quinnipiac will round out its road swing on Saturday night, taking on Clarkson at 7 p.m., at Cheel Arena.

- The Bobcats have now won 15 of their last 17 games dating back to Nov. 8 and maintain their position atop the ECAC.
- Pelosi joined Vidicek atop the team leaderboard with 16 goals on the year. Vidicek's total is one below Justin Poirier for tops in the country amongst first-years.
- The sophomore's four-point night ties the most by a Bobcat in a single game this season.
- Wyttenbach is now seven points clear atop the freshman points rankings, sitting with 38 on the year. He is second overall, two points behind Max Plante.
- Quinnipiac's shutout is its third this season, with two by Marinov and one by Silverstein.
- Elliott Groenewold added his second, multi-point game of the calendar year, dishing a pair of assists.
- Vidicek has recorded multi-point games in three of his seven outings to begin 2026.
- Marinov's six career shutouts are tied for eighth-most with JC Wells on the program's all time list.
