No. 6/7 Quinnipiac Falls in Tight CT Ice Final

HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 6/7 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program saw its winning streak come to an end on Saturday night, falling in the CT Ice title game by a 4-2 final to UConn at Ingalls Rink.
The Bobcats turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead in the second period, scoring a pair of goals 57 seconds apart from Markus Vidicek and Chris Pelosi.
Quinnipiac was not able to find another, however, as UConn scored at the 4:36 mark to tie the game and then took the lead for good with 2:25 on the clock before adding an empty netter less than a minute later.
STATS AND NOTES
Quinnipiac will head to the North Country this weekend, taking on Clarkson and St. Lawrence. The Bobcats will take on the Saints Friday before heading to the Golden Knights on Saturday.

STATS AND NOTES
- Vidicek added his 15th goal of the season, propelling him to the top of the team leaderboard.
- Ethan Wyttenbach extended his point streak to six games with an assist on the night. He has 36 total on the year, currently good for T-2 on the national leaderboard.
- Pelosi has a point in five of his last six, scoring his third goal over that stretch.
- The Bobcats played in their fifth CT Ice final in six tries.
- Quinnipiac ends the weekend atop the ECAC standings with two games in hand on Harvard and one game in hand on Dartmouth, both of whom stand on 27 points.
