1/17/2026 11:12:00 PM | Men's Ice Hockey
HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 7 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program pushed its win streak to six on Saturday night, running away from No. 13 Cornell by a 4-1 final at Lynah Rink, securing the first sweep of the Colgate and Cornell weekend since the 2018-19 campaign.
Andon Cerbone started the scoring for the Bobcats, tipping home an Aaron Schwartz shot to give the Bobcats the early 1-0 advantage.
The next goals didn't come until the third but they came in a flurry, as Ethan Wyttenbach, Elliott Groenewold and Tyler Borgula all posted third-period tallies to extend the visitor's lead out of reach.
Cornell got a late one on the power play but Matej Marinov stopped everything else, making 20 saves on 21 shots.
STATS AND NOTES
The first trophy chase of the year begins next weekend, as the Bobcats head to CT Ice, this year held at Ingalls Rink at Yale University.
Quinnipiac will open the tournament, taking on Sacred Heart in the opening slot at 4 p.m., on Friday.
