BOSTON, MA. – Quinnipiac field hockey dropped a non-conference matchup at Boston Unversity, 4-2, on Friday afternoon at New Balance Field.
First-year Maaike Van Wensen and sophomore Francisca Eschoyez each found the back of the cage for the Bobcats.
BU took a 3-0 lead over the first 20 minutes of action. Van Wensen then scored QU's first goal of the day 21:26 into play to make it 3-1 at halftime.

Both teams went scoreless in the third quarter. Caroline O'Brien scored for the second time on the day for Boston University to begin action in the fourth, then Eschoyez registered her team-leading fourth goal of the season with under two minutes left in regulation to make it 4-2.
