Dailey Breaks 100m School Record to Highlight Jay Carisella Invite

DEDHAM, Mass. — Sprinter Nyasia Dailey broke the school record in the 100m and now claims both school records in the shortest sprint disciplines of indoor and outdoor track, highlighting the final pre-championship meet for the Quinnipiac University outdoor track and field team.
Dailey finished the event in 11.66 seconds, besting the previous record held by Jessica Lee from 2018.
She also was part of the 4x100 relay team that cemented their spot in third all-time in program history, running the event in 46.91 and taking first.

The Bobcats will head to the MAAC Championships, held on the campus of Rider University, on May 9-10 to compete for the conference crown.

- Dailey's sprint finished 0.06 faster than Lee, who sprinted 11.72 on April 14, 2018.
- Sydney Lavelle also joined Dailey in the top 10 of the 100m, finishing 12.29, which is seventh-fastest all time.
- Lauren Boyd jumped 5.50m in the long jump, putting her into the program top 10 at tenth all-time.
- Erin Brennan bested her PR in the triple jump, hitting 11.22m which places her sixth on the program charts.
- Dailey joined Kiera Baxter, Michelle Tota and Hailey Tolson in the 4x100 relay that finished in 46.91. That puts them third on the program charts and 0.38 behind the program record.
