
Bobcats Win the MAAC, Complete Perfect Conference Season

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's tennis won their 10th MAAC regular season title on Thursday afternoon, knocking off the defending champs Fairfield 5-2.
With the win QU also clinches its ninth perfect conference regular season since joining the MAAC in 2013-14. They will now receive a bye as the No. 1 seed in next weekend's MAAC Championship tournament and will play either the No. 4 or No .5 seed on Saturday, April 26th at 2:00 PM at Mercer County Tennis Park in West Windsor, N.J.
Willow Renton and Caitlin Flower completed a perfect 8-0 regular season at No. 1 doubles yet the Bobcats were not able to clinch the doubles point. Despite that, QU got five straight-sets singles wins from Renton, Flower, Anagha Shankar, Vera Sekerina, and Caroline Schulson to clinch the win.

- Vera Sekerina and Caitlin Flower each finished the season with only one loss.
- With their 8-0 MAAC record at No. 1 doubles, Willow Renton and Caitlin Flower will go into the MAAC tournament 17-8 on the season as a team.
