Bobcats Close Out Regular Season With Win Over Fairfield

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball put an exclamation point on their regular season as they defeated the Fairfield Stags 72-65 on their home floor on Saturday to push their win streak to ten.
Gal Raviv led the team in scoring with 23 points on 50% (9-for-18) from the floor. Raviv recorded a team-high seven rebounds and dished out three assists in the win. Jackie Grisdale added 14 points and was 2-for-4 from three-point range. Anna Foley scored 13 points and dished out a team-high four assists. Karson Martin recorded eleven points and six rebounds to help down the Stags. Six Bobcats scored in the win over Fairfield.
The Bobcats got off to a red-hot start once again as they took a 9-2 lead into the first quarter media timeout. Quinnipiac continued their hot start as they closed out the opening quarter with a 14-5 scoring run to take a 23-7 lead into the second frame.
The second quarter was Fairfield's turn to get hot as they started the second quarter on a 10-4 scoring run, forcing Quinnipiac to call a timeout. Fairfield got as close as three in the frame, but three unanswered points from the Bobcats gave them a 38-32 heading into the halftime break.
Fairfield started the half with a 7-0 scoring run to take the one-point lead as the Bobcats called a timeout to settle things down. The two teams went back and forth to end the quarter, but the Bobcats held a 53-52 lead at the end of the third quarter.
The Bobcats held a 58-56 lead at the media timeout, before Quinnipiac went on a 14-9 run in the final three minutes to close out the victory over the Stags.
