Graham, Zaffina Set New School Marks in Outdoor Season Opener in Raleigh

Pole Vault, Steeplechase School Marks Re-Set by Current Holders in 2025 curtain raiser
RALEIGH, N.C. — Two school records fell as the outdoor track and field season got underway at the 2025 Raleigh Relays, held at NC State this weekend.
In her first collegiate outdoor meet, Talia Graham re-set her school record in the pole vault, hitting 3.75m on her second attempt to raise the bar on her mark, while Alessandra Zaffina returned to action on the outdoor track, besting her 3000m steeplechase mark.
Graham finished seventh overall in her event, while Zaffina placed 16th as the two highest finishes for the Bobcats.
TOP 10 FINISHES
The Bobcats full squad will be in action on Saturday, April 5 when they head to the UMass Invite.

TOP 10 FINISHES
- Graham topped her previous best of 3.75m that she set on Feb. 15, 2025.
- Zaffina's old mark was 10:21.22, set at Penn Relays in 2023.
- Sierra Gray became the second Bobcat all-time to crack the 36:00 mark in the 10k, finishing the race in 35:58.52. This placed her second on the program charts.
- Nyasia Dailey set a new personal best, running the 100m race in 12.04 which cements her in fourth spot all time.
- Isabel Wheeler climbed into the top 10 program chart, finishing the 100m hurdles in 16.02 which places her eighth.
