HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's tennis program is headed to New York to face Marist after having 10 days off from competition, before returning home to host LIU in their first outdoor match on Mount Carmel Campus.
QU is 18-0 versus Marist since 2009, and Marist enters the match 7-4. The Bobcats are 0-1 versus LIU with their lone matchup coming in March 2022 in a 4-0 loss. LIU enters the weekend 2-9.

LOSSES IN FLORIDA
- QU fell in three tight matches to North Carolina Central, Navy, and Hampton while playing in Orlando, Fla. last week.
- Caitlin Flower led the way for QU going 5-3 over the week.
- Caroline Schulson clinched the match at the No. 5 singles spot for Quinnipiac's first conference win of the season over Niagara.
- Despite losing the doubles point, QU rattled off four singles wins from Willow Renton, Anagha Shankar, Vera Sekerina, and Schulson.
- Willow Renton was the first Bobcat to be named MAAC Player of the Week this season after a 2-0 start to MAAC Play against Niagara.
- The Goshen, Ky. native won her No. 1 doubles match with Caitlin Flower, 6-2 over Niagara. She also had one of QU's four singles wins at the No. 1 spot, defeating Niagara's Melo, 7-6(5), 3-0, ret.
- The lone singles winner of the day was Anagha Shankar, taking her match at No. 3 singles in straight sets.
- Her and Vera Sekerina also took their doubles match 6-3 at the No. 2 position.
- The Bobcats fell 4-0 at Harvard a week ago.
- Caitlin Flower was the lone winner for the Bobcats in their 6-1 loss at UConn on Wednesday afternoon.
- Flower won in straight sets, only dropping four games.
- QU won its first home match of the season 7-0 over NJIT on Saturday, Jan. 25.
- Willow Renton and Anagha Shankar won their singles matches in three sets, while Caitlin Flower, Vera Sekerina, Caroline Schulson, and Ella Lewis won in straight sets.
- It was QU's first win over NJIT in program history, having lost to the Highlanders 7-0 on Mar. 6, 2022.
- The Bobcats fell 7-0 at Yale to open their spring season.
- This past fall at the ITA Regionals, the Bobcats won six matches.
- The doubles tandem of Willow Renton and Caitlin Flower advanced to the Round of 16 before falling.
- Renton also won her first round singles match.
- Willow Renton is coming off a very successful MAAC Masters tournament, reaching the semifinals in both singles and doubles brackets.
- She joined Caitlin Flower in the doubles semifinals bracket where they fell Sunday morning.
- The Bobcats won a combined 23 matches over the three days.
- Willow Renton went 8-0 between singles and doubles.
- Caitlin Flower went 6-2 over the course of the weekend.
- Against UConn, Willow Renton won her first match as a Bobcat against UConn, winning in straight sets. Caitlin Flower won her singles match in a third set tiebreaker
- The Bobcats took four matches against Saint Francis, with Anagha Shankar winning her singles match in a third set tiebreakers while Caroline Schulson and Vera Sekerina won their matches in straight sets. Isabella Sicignano also won her first match as a Bobcat, teaming up with Jordan Bradley in doubles.
- QU took 10 matches from Fairfield on Sunday of QU Hidden Duels.
- Quinnipiac women's tennis went 10-12, with a 5-1 MAAC record.
- The Bobcats fell in the MAAC Tournament Championship to regular season champions Fairfield 4-3.
- QU named three players to All-MAAC teams with Caitlin Flower getting the nod in singles and doubles with partner Caroline Schulson, while Dominique Yeo earned singles honors.
- QU has now won seven MAAC championships/advanced to the NCAA Tournament seven times since joining the league (2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2021-22, 2022-23) under Head Coach/Director of Tennis Paula Miller.
- Under the guidance of Head Coach Miller, the Bobcats have earned at least a share of the regular season MAAC title nine straight times since joining the MAAC in 2013-14. Miller has been named MAAC Coach of the Year seven times (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023). She has led Quinnipiac to six MAAC Tournament titles and six NCAA Tournament appearances (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022).
