No. 14/15 Quinnipiac Runs Away from Union in Final Trip to Messa Rink

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Grad student Jack Ricketts continued his scoring tear, recording a three-point night en route to the No. 14/15 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program's runaway victory at Union on Friday night.
The Bobcats found themselves down 2-1 but then kicked it into high gear, scoring the game's next six goals en route to a 7-2 win in their last regular season trip to Messa Rink.
After Ricketts scored the game's opening goal on a deflection, Union scored a pair unanswered to make it 2-1 to the hosts but they would not score again.
Andon Cerbone tied the game with a tough goal in front and then Ricketts again deflected home a Chris Pelosi one-timer, the second-such connection of the night, to give the Bobcats all they would need.
They poured it on in the third, with four goals, highlighted by a Victor Czerneckianair tally right off the faceoff that found its way into the net.
Pelosi, Mason Marcellus and Drew Hockley all found the net for the visitors as the game slowly fell out of Union's reach.
STATS AND NOTES
Quinnipiac finishes off the road trip on Saturday night, taking on RPI at the Houston Field House at 7 p.m. in Troy, N.Y.
The Bobcats currently sit three points ahead of Colgate in the ECAC standings with five games to play.
