Raviv Sets New Career-High as Bobcats Down Saints

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team returned home on Saturday as they defeated the Siena Saints 77-74 in Hamden.
Gal Raviv set a new career-high 32 points on 52.9% (9-17) shooting from the floor. Raviv stuffed the stat sheet, recording eight assists, seven rebounds, and one steal. Anna Foley and Grace LaBarge each reached double-digits, scoring 14 and 12, respectively. Seven different Bobcats pitched into the scoring effort to earn the season sweep over the Saints.
The Bobcats and Saints traded points early on in this matchup as the two teams were even at 14 points apiece after the opening ten minutes.
The second quarter started the same way the first one ended. Quinnipiac was able to pull away from the Saints as a layup from Anna Foley stretched their lead to eight. After QU took a 40-33 lead with eight seconds left in the half, Siena's Myriam Traore knocked down a half-court buzzer beater to make it a four-point game at the half.
Siena tied the game up early in the third quarter, but the Bobcats responded as their lead stretched back up to eight at the end of the third quarter.
Quinnipiac would not allow Siena within five for much of the final quarter, but the Saints made it close at the end, knocking down a three with 0.2 seconds left on the clock. QU got a clean inbound to seal the 77-74 victory over the Saints.
