Karson Martin got the scoring started as she knocked down a three two minutes into the contest. BU answered back and went on an 11-7 scoring run to take an 11-10 lead into the media timeout. Out of the break, it was the Bobcats' turn to go on a run as they closed out the first quarter on an 11-2 run and led the Terriers 21-13.
Quinnipiac's lead stretched to nine in the second quarter as they held a 29-18 advantage at the second quarter media timeout. After the Terriers got a layup to fall, Ella Ryan put an exclamation point on the first half, drilling a three with seven seconds left to put the Bobcats up 12 at the half, 32-20.

BU cut into the deficit again out of the timeout, making it just a two-point game with less than a minute left in the quarter. Anna Foley knocked two free throws to give the Bobcats the lead back, and Sydney Ryan knocked down a crucial three to give the Bobcats some breathing room.
