Quinnipiac Hands Colgate Their First Loss of the Season
HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team concluded the weekend with a 27-point win to hand the Colgate Raiders their first loss of the 2025-26 season. The Bobcats shot 46.3% (31-for-67) from the field and 40.7% (11-for-27) from three-point range to power them to the Sunday afternoon win.
Jackie Grisdale led the Bobcats with 19 points on 58.3% (7-for-12) shooting from the floor, while knocking down five three-pointers. Ella Ryan continues to impress in her first collegiate season as she scored 18 points and knocked down four triples in the win. Anna Foley added 15 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists off the bench, and Ella O'Donnell scored in double-figures, recording 12 points.

GAME REWIND
Quinnipiac got on the board first with a three-pointer from Jackie Grisdale, but the Colgate Raiders responded and took an 11-8 lead into the media timeout. Out of the break, it was all Bobcats as QU went on a 16-2 scoring run to take a 24-11 lead after the opening quarter.
The Bobcats continued to maintain control as they went on a 14-7 scoring run to start the second quarter, giving them a 38-20 lead with just under five minutes left in the half. Out of the break, it was all Quinnipiac once again as the Bobcats entered the halftime break with a 44-20 lead.
Quinnipiac continued to be on a shooting tear, using an 11-4 run out of the break to increase their lead to 55-24. The Bobcats continued their dominance in the quarter, closing out on a 14-9 run and taking a 69-33 lead into the final quarter.
The Raiders would outscore the Bobcats in the final quarter, 17-8, but it wasn't enough as Quinnipiac defeated the Raiders, 77-50, giving Quinnipiac their largest margin of victory so far this season.

NUMBERS AND NOTES
- Jackie Grisdale led the Bobcats in scoring for the third time this season, scoring 19 points, which ties her season-high (November 6th at Rutgers).
- Grisdale is inching closer to 1,000 career points as she currently sits 12 points shy of hitting that mark.
- Grisdale knocked down five threes in the win, giving her 20 on the season and 177 in her career for a career three-point percentage of 37.2%.
- Ella Ryan had another stellar game for the Bobcats, scoring 18 points on 50% shooting. Ryan has recorded 81 points in six collegiate games.
