Pelosi Bags Bobcats First Hat Trick of 2025-26 as No. 9 Bobcats Down Clarkson

HAMDEN, Conn. — Chris Pelosi bagged the No. 9 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program's first hat trick of the 2025-26 campaign and the Bobcats made it three wins in a row on Friday night, knocking off Clarkson by a 4-1 final at M&T Bank Arena.
The Boston Bruins draft pick potted Quinnipiac's first, second and fourth goals of the night to help power the home team to its second consecutive win on home ice and maintain an unbeaten record at M&T Bank Arena to begin the season.
Pelosi scored a pair in the first period, potting an Andon Cerbone backhand assist into the top corner of the net before jamming home a puck on the power play at the 16:38 mark of the first.
Markus Vidicek scored the lone goal not scored by Pelosi on the night, deflecting home a Braden Blace point shot to make it 3-0 at the midway point of the second.
Matej Marinov earned another victory in net for the Bobcats, making 22 saves on 23 shots on net.

The Bobcats return to home ice on Saturday night, taking on St. Lawrence.

- It is the first three-goal performance by a Bobcat since Jack Ricketts scored three, including the game-tying and overtime, game-winning goals, against Dartmouth on Jan. 31, 2025.
- He moved into the team lead with 9 points on the season and is one short of Ethan Wyttenbach for the team lead in points. He also has a team-best three, game-winning goals on the year.
- Chris' tally is also the Bobcats' first shorthanded goal of the year.
- Will Gilson added an assist on the night, extending his points streak to three games.
- Wyttenbach extended his point streak to five games with an assist and has at least a goal or assist in all but one appearance this season.
- Blace recorded his first point since Oct. 3 with an assist on the Vidicek tally. He has two helpers on the year.
