
Quinnipiac Cruises Past CCNY in Hamden

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball cruised past CCNY in non-conference play, 112-52, on Wednesday night at M&T Bank Arena in Hamden. The Bobcats move to 3-2 with the victory.
112 total points marks the highest total for the Bobcats since 2023.
Quinnipiac's margin of victory (+60) is the second-largest win since the Bobcats entered the Division I ranks. QU defeated Coast Guard 116-48 (+68) on Nov. 6, 2023.
Samson Reilly led the Bobcats with a career-high 29 points, going 9-of-15 from 3-point distance. Reilly ties Quinnipiac's Division I record for made 3-pointers. Cameron Young also drained nine triples during his 55-point effort back in 2019 vs. Siena.
Keith McKnight chipped in with 20 points of his own in the win. Asim Jones and Jaden Zimmerman both added 12.
Christopher Skenderi registered 13 points via a perfect 5-for-5 shooting performance off the bench, while Tai Turnage stuffed the stat sheet with nine points, 11 assists, six rebounds, and four steals.

NOTES
- Quinnipiac shot 45-of-83 (54.2%), and the Bobcats knocked down 16 3-pointers. Samson Reilly made nine triples – three during the first half and five over the final 20 minutes.
- Samson Reilly's day finished with 29 points, three assists, a steal and a rebound over 28 minutes. He made nine 3-pointers to tie the Bobcats' Division I program record. He is the first Quinnipiac player to shoot 15 3-pointers in a game since Rob Monroe on Jan. 1, 2005.
- Quinnipiac's all-time record for made 3-point field goals in a single game is owned by Rick Barry, who made 12 triples against Bentley on Feb. 1, 1995 under then-Head Coach and current Senior Associate AD Bill Mecca.
- Keith McKnight set a new career-high mark with 20 points, going a perfect 9-of-9 from the floor. He also grabbed five rebounds for the second time in as many contests. The first-year Bobcat is averaging 13.3 points per game through five collegiate matchups.
- Jaden Zimmerman added 12 points and seven rebounds on 5-of-10 shooting, and Asim Jones chipped in with 12 points, five assists and three rebounds.
- First-year guard Tai Turnage recorded 11 assists to set a new career-high mark. He also scored nine points, grabbed six rebounds and tallied four steals. Quinnipiac was +45 with Turnage on the floor.
- Chris Skenderi totaled 13 points in just over eight minutes on the floor. Skenderi – who registered his first collegiate points – went a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor and 3-of-3 from beyond the arc.
- Akintola Akinniyi also registered the first two points of his career, which came on a dunk during the second half. He also grabbed a rebound.
- Spence Wewe turned in another efficient effort with eight points and seven rebounds on 4-of-5 shooting.
- Grant Randall registered seven points and five rebounds.
