QU Battles to Comeback Victory Sunday at Maine

ORONO, ME – Quinnipiac men's basketball outscored Maine 42-28 during the second half, earning a comeback victory on Sunday afternoon at Skip Chappelle Court by the final score of 70-64.
Amarri Monroe led the Bobcats with a double-double, posting 17 points and 13 rebounds over 40 minutes. Monroe registered 12 points and eight rebounds during the second-half comeback.
Keith McKnight chipped in with 11 points – all of which came during the second half. He also grabbed five rebounds for QU.
Jaden Zimmerman recorded 10 points, and Spence Wewe tallied eight points and nine rebounds.
The Bobcats went 19-of-27 from the free throw line over the final 20 minutes.

- Quinnipiac finished 23-of-63 from the floor in total (36.5%).
- There were five lead changes in total, and the game was tied five different times.
- The Bobcats outrebounded Maine 47-32. Quinnipiac grabbed 18 offensive rebounds, and outscored the Black Bears 18-2 in second-chance points.
- 13 rebounds is a season-high mark for Amarri Monroe. He has 10+ points in three of Quinnipiac's first four contests. Monroe shot 6-of-15, added four assists and two steals.
- Keith McKnight's 11-point effort is his third double-digit scoring output of the year. The first-year Bobcat grabbed five rebounds, which marks a new career high total. McKnight went 7-for-10 from the charity stripe in the win.
- Jaden Zimmerman recorded 10 points, going 5-for-7 from the free throw line.
- Big man Spence Wewe stuffed the box score with eight points and nine rebounds, going a perfect 4-for-4 from the floor. He also blocked two shots in the win.
- Grant Randall recorded seven points and six rebounds, going 3-of-5 from the field.
- Nate Guerengomba and Tai Turnage both gave Quinnipiac a spark off the bench. Turnage finished with six points and four rebounds over 15 minutes (all in the second half), while Guerengomba added six points, three rebounds and two blocks.
- Quinnipiac has won each of the last five meetings with Maine. The Bobcats are 11-4 against the Black Bears dating back to 2007.
