Day Two of MAAC Masters Wrapped Up on Saturday

HAMDEN, Conn. – The second day of the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Masters Tournament wrapped up on Saturday, October 4, at the QU Tennis Courts in Hamden, Connecticut.
The quarterfinals and semifinals were completed in singles play, while the round of 16 and the quarterfinals wrapped up in doubles action.
Caitlin Flower and Willow Renton both earned a win in singles for the Bobcats in the Quarterfinal round. Renton defeated Regina Herrera of Fairfield to advance to the MAAC Masters Tournament Final on Sunday, October 5th.
After advancing past the second round on Friday, Carlos Braun Simo and Finn Burridge both fell in their Quarterfinal matchup on Saturday morning.
In the Women's Doubles, the duos of Willow Renton and Caitlin Flower and Anagha Shankar and Emily Meng both advanced past the Round of 16. The pairing of Renton and Flower won their Quarterfinal match to advance to the Semifinals on Sunday morning at the Quinnipiac Tennis Courts.
On the men's side of the doubles event, Carl Sjoholm and Alessandro Sciacca won their matchups in the round of 16 and the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals tomorrow at 9:00 AM.

The 2025 MAAC Masters Tournament resumes tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. with the championship of the singles bracket and the semifinal and championship rounds of the doubles bracket. All competition for the remainder of the tournament will take place at Quinnipiac Athletic & Recreation Center in Hamden, Connecticut.
The 2025 MAAC Masters Tournament is a singles and doubles single-elimination tournament per gender, that will be held on Friday, October 3 through Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Quinnipiac Athletic & Recreation Center in Hamden, Connecticut and at Walsh Athletic Center Tennis Courts in Fairfield, Connecticut. Quinnipiac University will serve as the host of the tournament for the second straight year and Fairfield University for the first.
