HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 15 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program goes for its fourth consecutive CT Ice title this weekend, taking on UConn in a big non-conference matchup on Friday night in the semifinals.

The winner of that contest will take on the winner of Yale/Sacred Heart for the tournament title on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. The two losing teams will play in the consolation matchup at 4 p.m.

VOTE FOR TRAV 2025

2024-25 captain Travis Treloar is a 2025 Hobey Baker Award nominee, the organization released on Wednesday morning.
The Kalmar, Sweden native and second-year Bobcat leads the team with six power play goals and is one of two Quinnipiac players with 10 tallies on the season, joining Jack Ricketts.
He currently leads all active NCAA Division I men's players with 23 power play goals and leads a crew of two players with 20 or more to their name in their collegiate careers.

SPECIAL TEAMS, SPECIAL PLAYS, SPECIAL PLAYERS

Since Nov. 15, the Bobcats have won 11 games, the second-most in the country, with special teams leading the way.
The Bobcats have killed 36 of 38 penalties taken, dividing out to 94.4 percent, a rate good for second in the country behind Western Michigan's 97.3 percent.
Quinnipiac has scored on 15 of 49 power-play opportunities, a 30.6 percent clip that is good for fifth in the nation. Overall, the Bobcats convert at a 28.6 percent rate, good for third in the country.

NUTMEG STATE SUPREMACY

The Bobcats are going for their fourth consecutive CT Ice title this weekend, winning each of the last three in three different buildings.
Quinnipiac has won each of the last three finals over the Huskies, earning 4-3 wins in each of the last two. They erased a 3-1 deficit in last year's final to earn the win after knocking off Yale in the first round.
They have won three of the four editions of the tournament, with this year's hosts, Sacred Heart, winning the inaugural tournament in Bridgeport, Conn. in 2020.

Junior Victor Czerneckianair is currently putting himself amongst the Bobcats' elite at the faceoff dot this season, winning 59.6 percent of draws entering the weekend.
That places him second in the ECAC this season and his rate is sixth-best amongst all eligible Bobcat skaters (300 faceoffs or more) since the tracking became available in 2002-03.
Quinnipiac as a team is winning 56 percent of faceoffs since Nov. 15, the fifth-best rate in the country. They are 11-2-2 since then.

MAY THE SCHWARTZ BE WITH YOU

First year forward Aaron Schwartz was named an ECAC Forward of the Week, presented by BlueBird hotels after aiding the Bobcats to a three-win week from Jan. 6-11.
He recorded a career-best four point night against Stonehill to open the week and then scored the game-winning tally on Friday night to start the weekend sweep for the Bobcats.
