No. 15/16 Quinnipiac Skates to Tie with Cornell

HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 15/16 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program skated to a 2-2 tie on Saturday night, capping a four-point weekend and extending the Bobcats' unbeaten streak to five.
The Bobcats held a 2-1 lead until Cornell tied the game with 9:03 left in the third off a tipped shot in front to beat Dylan Silverstein and send the game to its final result.
Quinnipiac scored a pair of goals in the second, as Tyler Borgula and Chris Pelosi both scored from in front of the net to give the hosts a 2-1 lead heading into the second.
Cornell took the extra ECAC point, scoring on both of its shootout attempts after Jeremy Wilmer started the frame with a goal.
Dylan Silverstein got the start in net for the Bobcats, making 23 saves on 25 shots.
STATS AND NOTES
The fifth-annual CT Ice Tournament commences on Friday night at the Martire Family Arena at Sacred Heart University. The Bobcats will face UConn in a first round matchup at 4 p.m. in Fairfield, with the winner moving on to Saturday's championship game.

- Victor Czerneckianair has dished assists in three consecutive games after his feed on Borgula's goal tonight.
- Andon Cerbone finished off a four-point weekend, adding an assist tonight to his hat trick on Friday night.
- Pelosi has scored four goals since the return from the break, recording points in six of eight contests.
