Foster Scores, Bobcats Tie Hofstra in Opener

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac Women's Soccer kicked off the fall 2024 campaign on Thursday in Hamden, as the Bobcats played to a 1-1 draw vs. CAA foe Hofstra.
Victoria Foster netted QU's lone goal of the match in the 56th minute of action. Madison Alves played a free kick into the box, then Foster tracked down the redirect and blasted it home for the Bobcats' first goal of the season.
Hofstra outshot the Bobcats 11-4 in the draw. Corner attempts were even 6-6.
Sofia Lospinoso made six saves for QU.

- Molly Andrews, Morgan Cupo, and Courtney Chochol each chipped in with one shot attempt.
- Hofstra is 2-0-1 against Quinnipiac in three previous meetings during the Division I era. Hofstra took both the 2003 and 2004 matchups.
- QU returns to play in a week, heading to Georgetown on Thursday, Aug. 22 to continue non-conference action.
