New School Record, Relay Victory Highlight Bobcats at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA — The longest-running track meet in the country welcomed the Quinnipiac women's track and field team this weekend, as select Bobcats were invited to the 2024 Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
The Bobcats set a new school record, as well as claimed an event victory in the annual meet held at the end of April.
Friday night was highlighted by the Bobcats' squad of Camille Blain, Michelle Tota, Rylie Smith and Alyssa Romagnoli clocking in at 4:00.18 in the sprint medley relay, setting a new school record that had stood since the 2016 season.
The two relay teams inserted into the Eastern Events in the 4x100 and 4x400 also advanced to Saturday's finals, where Tota joined Nyasia Dailey, Izzie Anzaldo and Hailey Tolson to run the race in 47.48, earning the win in the 4x1.
Saturday's 4x100 run is good for fourth in program history and is the second-fastest 4x100 relay run by a Bobcat team since 2016.
