3/2/2024 10:43:00 PM | Men's Ice Hockey
HAMDEN, Conn. — It was a senior night spectacular at M&T Bank Arena, as the No. 7 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team poured it on in an 8-1 victory over St. Lawrence on Saturday night at M&T Bank Arena.
The Bobcats flew out of the gates, as Iivari Rasanen scored on his senior night to get the party started at the 3:19 mark of the first.
Collin Graf got his three-point night started in the opening frame as well, taking a puck end to end before going low on the blocker side to double the advantage.
It would be four in a row before St. Lawrence found the net on a power play at the 18:45 mark of the second.
Quinnipiac added four more in the third, two off the stick of Sam Lipkin, to finish off the scoring and earn them their second-highest scoring total of the season.
They ended the regular season without a regulation loss at home for the second consecutive season and are currently 14-3-0 at M&T Bank Arena.
STATS AND NOTES
The Bobcats await their fate in the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals to be played March 15-17 at M&T Bank Arena. Top-seeded Quinnipiac will host the lowest seed remaining in a Best-of-3 with a spot in Lake Placid on the line.
