CANTON, N.Y. — The No. 5 Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team had its winning streak snapped at St. Lawrence on Friday night, falling 3-1 at Appleton Arena.
The hosts took a 1-0 advantage into the third, when senior Travis Treloar jammed home a puck in front after a great passing play on the man-advantage to tie the game at the 4:37 mark off assists from Jacob Quillan and Collin Graf.
St. Lawrence would re-take the lead 81 seconds later and inside of two minutes after that double it and that would be the end of the scoring as the Bobcats saw their four-game winning streak snapped.
Quinnipiac remains eight points up in the chase for the Cleary Cup, sitting at 38 points with six games left. Cornell (30), Colgate (27) and Clarkson (26), round out the top four, all with a game in hand on the Bobcats.
STATS AND NOTES
It's a top four battle in the ECAC on Saturday night, as the league-leading Bobcats take on fourth-place Clarkson at Cheel Arena.
Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m., and can be seen live on ESPN+.
