Bobcats Improve to 10-1 in MAAC
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac Men's Basketball won its ninth consecutive contest on Sunday afternoon at M&T Bank Arena, topping Canisius by the final score of 88-63 in a wire-to-wire victory.
Matt Balanc led all scorers with 23 points on 8-of-15 shooting. Amarri Tice added 18 points and nine rebounds, and Doug Young chipped in with 10 points off the bench.
QU shot 33-of-67 (49.3%) in total, going 17-for-34 in the second half.
The Bobcats closed the first half on a 9-0 run, then opened the second half on another 8-0 stint. QU led 56-28 following the 17-0 total run (18:41 left in second half).
The first-place Bobcats improve to 18-4 so far in 2023-24. Quinnipiac is now 10-1 in MAAC play, three games ahead of any other MAAC program in the standings.
