Treloar Highlight-Reel Goal Caps No. 9 Bobcats' Win over RPI

HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 9 Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team came within one regulation win of a Cleary Cup on Saturday night, knocking off RPI 7-2 at M&T Bank Arena.
With the win and the Cornell-Yale game going to overtime, the Bobcats are now three points away from a fourth consecutive ECAC regular season title.
The action on the ice Saturday night was capped off by a highlight reel goal from Travis Treloar, who deked around a defender and then scored between his legs for the host's seventh tally of the night.
After RPI scored the opener at the 4:02 mark, the Bobcats ripped off five straight, with two apiece coming from Collin Graf and Mason Marcellus.
Graf finished off the hat trick at the 2:22 mark of the third, his second as a Bobcat, while Treloar's highlight-reel tally came at the 16:45 mark of the frame.

Quinnipiac has a chance to clinch the Cleary Cup on Friday night, as they head to Providence to take on Brown. The Bobcats will take the regular season title with a win in regulation over the Bears.

- Graf's first hat trick with Quinnipiac came on Nov. 12, 2022 when he potted a trio against Yale in New Haven.
- Treloar extended his point streak to eight games with his third-period tally.
- Marcellus matched his collegiate-best with a three-point night, potting two goals and adding a helper. He has seven points in his last three games.
- Jacob Quillan set a new career high in assists, dishing three helpers on the night. It also tied his career-best in points.
- Quinnipiac has scored 17 goals in the last three games.
- Charles Alexis Legault recorded his third straight multi-point night with two assists.
- Jayden Lee added his first multi-assist contest since Dec. 9 against LIU.
- The Bobcats returned to 13-2-0 at M&T Bank Arena this season and are 45-4-2 at The Bank since the beginning of the 2021-22 campaign.
