Foley Leads Bobcats to Thrilling Comeback Win at Marist

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Anna Foley had a double-double (24 points, 14 rebounds) as she led the Bobcats to a thrilling overtime win over the Marist Red Foxes, 64-62.
With the win, the Bobcats will improve to 8-11 on the season and 5-5 in the MAAC, while Marist will fall to 5-14 overall and 3-6 in conference play. This is Quinnipiac's sixth straight victory over the Red Foxes.
The first quarter was scoreless for just over two minutes until Marist hit a three to open the scoring. The two teams would trade buckets as they would be tied at six at the media timeout. There would only be two more buckets in the quarter as Jillian Casey hit a three to tie the game at nine to end the quarter.
Marist opened the second quarter on a 7-2 run to force Quinnipiac to burn a timeout. Marist would go up 22-13 before Ava Sollenne knocked down a three to make it a six-point game.
Quinnipiac would end the half on a 11-9 run to make it a five-point deficit, 29-24, at the half.
The two teams traded points to start the half and Marist held a 33-27 lead at the media timeout. The rest of the quarter was much of the same as Marist outscored the Bobcats 12-11 out of the break to head into the final frame up 45-38.
The Bobcats crept back into the game as Anna Foley knocked down a layup to bring the Bobcats within three.
Grace LaBarge knocked down a jumper to tie the game up at 50 and send it into overtime.
Overtime was no different than regulation time as the two teams were going back and forth, but this time it was the Bobcats that jumped out to the lead. Quinnipiac established a four-point lead and they hit their free-throws to secure a 64-62 comeback win over Marist.

- Foley was 9-19 (47.4%) from the floor and was 100% (6 for 6) from the free-throw line.
- Karson Martin and Grace LaBarge both tallied ten points in the win.
- Martin was 6 for 6 (100%) from the free-throw line and LaBarge was 2-2 (100%).
- Jillian Casey made an impact off the bench hitting two crucial threes to give her six points in the win.
- Maria Kealy led the team with four assists, while also picking up five rebounds and four points.
- Bri Bowen had five points in 16 minutes of action, knocking down two of her three shots.
- The Bobcats will be back in action in Hamden on Saturday, Feb. 3 to take on the Rider Broncs.
