POWERED UP
- The Bobcats have taken advantage of the man-advantage this season, converting on 27.3 percent of opportunities in the first half. That mark is good for second in the ECAC, behind Dartmouth, and seventh nationally.
- Quinnipiac has scored a power-play goal in each of its last seven contests, the longest active streak in the nation. It is tied for the third-longest streak overall, as Denver and LIU both scored a power-play tally in 11 consecutive.
- Captain Travis Treloar leads the league and is sixth nationally with five goals on the man advantage, totaling 22 over his career and 10 in his two-year stint in Hamden.
MAGIC MASON
- The Greely, Ontario native is on the longest points streak of his career, ending the first half of the season on a seven-game heater. He has recorded eight points over that span, the fifth-longest active streak in the country.
- He has recorded an assist in four consecutive contests, tied for the second-longest active streak with six others. Providence's Logan Will has a five-game helper stretch, the longest active in the country.
MAN-(DIS)ADVANTAGE
- The Quinnipiac penalty kill has found its stride since Nov. 15, killing all 17 opposing power play opportunities during the seven-game window.
- The Bobcats are the only team in the country to have not allowed a power-play goal since then, jumping 27 spots on the national leaderboard and four on the league list, from 76.9 percent to an even 86 percent.
- ECAC league foe St. Lawrence is the only active team with a longer streak, killing off 24 consecutive opportunities to end the first half.
JIMINY (C)RICKETTS
- Scoring his 50th collegiate goal on Dec. 6, grad student Jack Ricketts joined a club of three on the NCAA active leaderboard for career goals.
- Entering the season as the nation's active leader in goals, he stands tied with Holy Cross' Liam McLinskey and one behind Minnesota's Jimmy Snuggerud for the active lead. He's tied for fourth on the team with four goals on the year.
GOTTA GET 'EM EARLY...
- Starting fast has been the key to success for the Bobcats this season, with early goals almost always equaling wins in the first half.
- Quinnipiac has led after the first period five times this season, with all five turning into victories. The Bobcats have also scored first in five of their contests to begin the year, with those five also turning into wins.
